Page Six reports that Naomi Watts, 47, and Liev Schreiber, 48, have split after 11 years together. The couple released the following statement: “Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple. It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy.” The couple are parents to sons Alexander, 9, and Samuel, 7.
A source tells Page Six, “They split because she wants to travel the world making moves and attending film festivals and red carpets, but he is a New Yorker and just wants to settle with their kids. Both are great parents and will do what is best for their kids.”
