Jay Z launched his Tidal Music streaming service recently, and already there are a myriad of problems. First off, Apple is getting ready to relaunch its Beats Music in June, and doesn't want any competition getting in the way. Consequently, Apple has yet to approve Tidal app for its app store; one has been available to Android users since April 15th. Additionally, after Rihanna debuted her new song on Tidal, her songs had "technical issues" at iTunes.
Page Six reports that while many Sony artists turned up at the launch of Tidal, including Beyoncé, Sony head Doug Morris is now asking for $35 million in advance and $20 million in one year in order to license its artists to stream on Tidal. As a reminder, Jay Z sunk $56 million into the venture.
