The rich are continuing COVID precautions like requiring masks & tests, indoor air cleaning infrastructure, & priority access to vaccines & treatments. But they're telling the rest of us the pandemic is over because they think protecting the working class will cut their profits.

More than a quarter of kids who get Covid-19 may develop long-term symptoms.

A 2021 study suggested that it may be even more; more than half of children between ages 6 & 16 in that study had at least one Covid-19 symptom that lasted more than four months. https://t.co/osdED83qST
I hate the way humans talk about how terrible this could be.

For the first time, it's now likely spreading mammal-to-mammal, among minks which are exceptionally well-suited conduits to humans.
We must act now.https://t.co/aqd2TIqE5V pic.twitter.com/DPpmupOtGo
Reminder, as we face another possible respiratory virus pandemic, that we *could* have worked on improving indoor air quality and we *could* have normalized the use of simple mitigations like N95 masks. But instead, "learn to live with pathogenic viruses" narratives won out.

This is my true nightmare: Another outbreak with a respiratory pathogen and again having to discuss the use of masks, vaccines, PCR and where zoonotic viruses come.
