Hilaria Baldwin Talks Breastfeeding
Hilaria Baldwin is on the cover of this month's Fit Pregnancy and Baby Magazine. Here's what she had to say:
Flexible Goals Are Better
“I prided myself on being a Super Breastfeeding Mommy [she nursed Carmen for 15 months], but I was only able to breastfeed Rafa until he was 10 months old. I got pregnant again, and my milk supply went way down. But the fact that I didn’t breastfeed him for as long as I’d intended is okay. We beat ourselves up for not being perfect, but there’s something to be said for letting go.”
I Don't Skip Workouts
“So many women give up. They think, I’m a mom now, so I’m always going to be out of shape. No! I’m of the opinion that just because we’re pregnant doesn’t mean we’re sick. Let’s be strong and in the best shape possible. I still jog four miles, four days a week, though I plan to switch to swimming soon. I do barre class three times a week. And I do yoga every day. For me, it’s all part of having a healthy mind-set.”
Yoga Can Be a Natural Cure
“I get restless leg syndrome, so rather than toss and turn all night, I get up and do bedside yoga. Pigeon pose is the best, because it releases your glutes and opens your hips. Between that and Alec’s leg rubs, I’m a happy person.”
Appreciate What You Achieve
“Between three pregnancies and breastfeeding, I’ve not had my body to myself in years. It’s easy to find that overwhelming. But as much as pregnancy brings aches, pains, sleeplessness, and all kinds of very uncomfortable things, there’s something so special about the fact that you can create life. I look at Carmen, and I think, ‘I made you.’ I mean, my husband had something to do with it too, but the incubation, the growing, the delivery—that’s my job, and it’s incredible.”

Nick Cannon Moving On from Mariah
E! News reports that Nick Cannon, 35, is finally moving on from Mariah Carey, 46. He has recently been spotted hanging out with TLC's Rozando "Chili" Thomas, 45. A source states, "Nick and Chilli [have] been hanging out on the low. [They've] been friends for some time and just recently this summer they have been hanging out romantically. Chilli is a very mature woman that's been around the music industry for sometime and gets it. Nick has always had a crush on her growing up. He thinks she is beautiful. [Nick] has a thing for older women. They are not an exclusive couple at this time just causally hanging out and seeing where things go."
Shiri Appleby Talks Sons and Daughters
UnREAL actress Shiri Appleby welcomed son Owen in December. She recently spoke to People about the difference between raising her daughter Natalie, 3, and son Owen. Here's what she had to say:
“The first few months, everyone was like, ‘Isn’t it so different?’ And I didn’t really understand. Then we just vacationed with some friends of ours that have a baby girl the same age, and she’s dainty and sits, and he’s really active. It’s much more energy!”
On Owen:
“[He's a] very happy child. We’re teething and eating solids. Big things! We’re just kind of exposing him to everything right now. We’re really just trying to create as wide a palate as possible.”
On Natalie:
“She’s a big girl, she’s a big kid now, she’s really just taken to it. It’s really wonderful to see the two of them be together. It’s great.”
On taking time for herself:
“Taking care of myself and working out is something that I’ve really been focused on, because having to go to work and be a mom, I’ve noticed the one thing you don’t give yourself enough of is time for yourself. And for me, that’s really working out.
I do my hair in the morning really quickly, and then I use the other time to work out and do DVDs in my trailer. I do the Tracy Anderson DVDs. I do 30 to 45 minutes maybe four days a week when I’m working...I’m going back to the gym now. I’m so happy! It feels good to just work your core, work your arms. It really makes you feel strong and engaged in the world in a healthier way.”
