No Justice, No Peace 6/9/20

There are a lot of terms being used these days that are unfamiliar and are easy to misunderstand, like defunding the police. Here is a great Washington Post article about what defunding the policy really means. There are a couple of tweets, a Kamala Harris video, and an Instagram slideshow that also address the topic below.

The Atlantic has an innovative solution on what to do with confederate monuments.

Some of y’all really think defunding the police is radical and crazy but they defund schools every year. Chicago shut down 50 schools in black and brown communities at once saying they don’t have the money. That same year, the police budget increased.
