Big Bang Theory Cast Sticks Together

Although a few outlets are reporting that CBS has renewed The Big Bang Theory for two more seasons, the truth is that the announcement is still premature, because the cast is hammering out final contract negotiations. Variety reports that Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik are paid sizably less than the rest of the cast, despite sharing about equal screen time at this point in the show's run. In a show of solidarity, the five original castmembers have agreed to take a pay cut to free up extra money so that Rauch and Bialik's salaries can approach parity. The two actresses currently make around $200,000/episode, compared to the $1 million/episode netted by the original 5 castmembers.
