Long COVID is real. Real expensive. pic.twitter.com/XNtHbFhtEU
Acute COVID can easily last 2 weeks, even mild. That's disruptive alone.

Now, I'm hearing folks minimize long COVID that lasts "only" 3 months. Who has time to be in poorer health, trying to figure out how to recover, uncertain about what their life will be long term? No one.
🚨Poor sleep at the time before you get Covid-19 is associated with a 3.5x higher risk of #LongCovid. Between 10% and 30% of the world population has a sleeping disorder as we speak. Now, do the math about how many people are at risk. 1/2 https://t.co/m3q1DqcaQA

“If so many people have Long Covid, why don’t I see them”

They’re
1) in denial
2) diagnosed but in denial
3) accepted it but private
4) homebound
5) dying or dead
6) ignored by you
Your worldview isn’t omniscient
Being chronically ill and disabled in public isn’t a given
PSA: If you have continuing chest pain, difficulty breathing, & other serious health symptoms after #COVID please see a doctor & get tests! Many people are getting myocarditis, pericarditis, blood clots, pulmonary embolisms, organ damage, & more & there is treatment! #LongCOVID

The evidence for long COVID is becoming too hard to ignore that even mainstream Danish media are running explainers on it. They warn long COVID rate is 7-30% of infections.

Denmark was one of the 1st countries to let COVID rip just bc it wouldn't overload hospitals. Now what? pic.twitter.com/ZW7ojh2Bo1
