If you’re a male comedian one thing you can do is tell men to shut the fuck up when they are saying hateful shit about women. & not go on podcasts that are racist & sexist you can also speak up for women getting attacked online for sticking up for themselves. Or....total silence.— Chelsea Peretti (@chelseaperetti) June 21, 2020
One thing I've done as a female comedian is when comics say sexist and/or racist shit around me I very seriously ask, "Why is that funny? Immediately grants you blessed silence.— Janelle James (@janellejcomic) June 22, 2020
it’s not cancel culture, it’s people finally feeling enough strength to call out the people who used their power to abuse them, stop fuckin acting like sexual predators don’t exist everywhere in our industries.— elijah daniel (@elijahdaniel) June 22, 2020
STEP BY STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO BE A GOOD CELEBRITY:— elijah daniel (@elijahdaniel) June 22, 2020

Here’s what I’ll say about toxicity and healing: Sometimes I miss doing sex work. I never miss being a woman in comedy.— Kasey ACAB Kupp (@kaseykupp) June 21, 2020
All female comics have done shows with abusers. It’s that pervasive. We wouldn’t get to do standup if we didn’t. We shouldn’t have to lose income or stage time because a predator is on a lineup. Clubs need to stop booking people who are a danger to their coworkers.— Samantha Ruddy (@samlymatters) June 22, 2020
