Show and Tell 12/26/18

A place to show and tell the latest and greatest from YouTube and Social Media. Here are a few to kick things off:

#TheBucketListFamily VS #TheFucketListFamily Expectation VS Reality 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤷🏻‍♀️🤣🙈 •••••••••••••• Earlier this year @brookslaich told me about @thebucketlistfamily. He said they were great people, a family of five (a married couple with their 3 children all under the age of 4) who traveled the world in search of adventure, culture and fulfilling experiences. Dismissing him I said, “Yeah, sure. Okayyyyyy, Brooks. No way are these real people, nor can they be that cool (and not going nuts) traveling with 3 toddlers.” When they invited me on this trip I stalked their page and scrolled so deep and that I was embarrassed because I found myself liking pictures from back in 2015. I thought “This is aggressive Dobrev, if they have their notifications on they for sure think you’re a crazy stalker fan girl. Slow your roll.” When I finally met them Indonesia, I thought to myself “Be cool. They’re cool. You can be cool too. It’s okay the kids aren’t here, I know you’re bummed but you’ll meet them on the next trip.” @garrettgee and @jessgee were so welcoming, warm and gracious. They greet you with a warm smile and you feel immediately at home. What impressed me the most was that those smiles never faded. For over a week straight. Their passion for life and adventure is is genuine and infectious. There is a magic and childlike wonderment about them that makes you giddy. They were everything I hoped and dreamt they’d be... and more. They exceeded my expectations tenfold. I aspire to be like them. @brookslaich @juleshough and I all do. We always joke that Brooks and Jules are a family. They are my mom and dad, and I am the child they never wanted but have to live with anyway! Well... we took it one step further and made it official. We decided to become “The Bucket List Family” (or in our case “The Fucket List Family” which is the slightly less cool and significantly more awkward family) by recreating all their most popular photos on Instagram. And yes, I can’t wait to meet the real kiddos, but until then... I am the kiddos. They say a picture is worth a thousand words... well here are the pictures, and sorry... I also wrote a 1000 words. Merry Christmas, and you’re welcome.
