Ashley Hamilton Talks Sobriety
Ashely Hamilton recently sat down with People, where he talked about coping with drug addiction. The magazine quotes him as follows:
"I had some really hard times. But my dad never gave up on me no matter what. It overshadowed my work. I went underground, a little short sabbatical. My dad always said, 'You'll get a second chance.' And now I have one."
Hamilton was previously married to Shannen Doherty for five months in 1994, and Angie Everhart for three months in 1997. Hamilton's new reality show, Stewarts & Hamiltons, featuring Ashley and George Hamilton, and Alana, Kimberly, and Sean Stewart, premieres tonight on E!

Us Weekly reports that after two years of dating, tennis pro Maria Sharapova, 28, and Grigor Dimitrov, 24, have called it quits. Grigor had this to say of the split:
"Our paths split. We experienced wonderful moments together. I wish her much happiness and success in life and in tennis. Now I’m concentrated entirely on the game and I’m sure the results will soon be seen. This is the summer of the new beginning of me.”

Gymnast Shawn Johnson Is Engaged
Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson, 23, is engaged, reports Us Weekly. Football player Andrew East, 23, proposed to Johnson at the Cubs game at Wrigley Field on Friday. Johnson had the following to say to Us Weekly:
"I'm the luckiest girl in the entire world! We're looking to tie the knot next spring/summer before Rio. And it was honestly a complete surprise. He was acting so weird all day and was so quiet but I shrugged it off because I was so terrified of throwing the first pitch! Brady Quinn actually helped him pull it off!! It was absolutely perfect. He now heads to training camp for the Chiefs. Planning will have to be long distance but I'll be visiting a lot -- since we're now house shopping as well!!"
