Kardashian Korner

Page Six reports that when Bruce Jenner sat down for an interview with Diane Sawyer, he revealed to her the name that he plans to use after he transitions. Jenner is also slightly delay his transition due to the recent fatal car accident in which he was involved. There is no air date yet for the Diane Sawyer interview; it will most likely coincide with the start of the E! documentary that follows Jenner's journey, which is expected to begin airing in May.

Page Six also reports that Kanye stated that he went up on stage at the Grammys because the voices in his head told him to.

  1. Kanye heard voices in his head? oh in other words he was off his meds that night? Explains everything.

  2. I support you Bruce! Can't wait to hear your new name! Reports say he'll stick with a B name, possibly Belinda, but if it was me, I'd go with Jenna Bruce!

As for Kanye, still a douche.

    1. Ohhh, I like Jenna Bruce!

Heard the Kanye backpedaling quip this morning on the radio, what a joke.

  3. I believe Kanye is a smart and talented man, and his mother both kept him somewhat grounded and yet built him up. After she died, he went off the rails and his ego is self-implodig.

As for Bruce, no sympathy here. The day after the fatal accident, his reps said he was delaying the transition because he "is giving all of his time and energy right now into helping out with the investigation and in making sure that there is peace for those close to the deceased." Yet that same day, he was pictured speeding down PCH in a Porsche. Couple of days later, he was pictured chatting on a cell phone while driving. That doesn't sound like someone dealing with the after-effects of a major tragedy.

    1. Agree Seven. Someone died in a car crash that could very well have been Jenner's fault. Yet, most of the news around the crash at this point is about how this may postpone his 'transition' and announcement thereof.

The sense of proportion on this - a human life vs. juicy reality show events - is skewed.

    2. Has Bruce not heard of blue tooth or hands free speakers????????? In Malibu all the people in that accident could have been on cell phones etc. I mean when was the last time you heard 2 people in a 4 vehicle crash has suspended licences. They all think they are entitled methinks in Malibu.

    3. What Tina? 2 out of 4 people had suspended licenses? Why were they driving in the first place?

  4. Does Jenna Bruce intend to use the red tees?

  5. Since this is the trashy portion of our show today, here's my review of Fifty Shades of Grey.....

So, the theater is 99% female mostly over the age of 35. We've all had a few cocktails and the crowd is a little rowdy and noisy. Several people I talked to have never read the books and are just there for the partay. I honestly wonder if some had any idea of storyline before they stepped in the theater. There's lots of inappropriate laughter and some looked a little uncomfortable during the sex scenes. Or maybe they were turned on? Who knows? I don't want to speculate on that.

For whatever it's worth the movie stays very close to the book.

Dakota is surprisingly good and is the perfect Ana. She has great eyes and can act with her eyes. I love a convincing crier and she has that down pat. She has pubic hair which someone very loudly pointed out to the audience with an "ewww". Classy crowd, I know.

Other than Ana's best friend, the supporting characters are just a blip in the film. I was initially disappointed in Rita Ora being cast as Mia, but it could have been Kim Kardashian for the brief five seconds we see the character and it wouldn't have mattered.

Jamie's eyes are different sized and that distracted the hell out of me. Somehow during the course of the film, the size of his eyes evened out so the one smaller eye wasn't taking all of my attention when I should have been paying attention to how to chain somebody to a wall. He is not Christian, not even close.

There's no chemistry between the two so the sex scenes were not hot. I kept waiting for him to get her into some of the positions I read about in the book (and honestly needed a diagram because I couldn't visualize), but it didn't happen. The movie was long, somber, and frankly a little boring although some ladies in my group absolutely loved it. I wondered if I had watched it in a different setting would I have liked it....I doubt it.

    Jamie is not Christian.

    3. I just spoke to a coworker who was part of the group last night and the first thing she said was "That guy playing Christian has a weird eye." So it wasn't just me being critical.

And ya, I'd say thumbs down, but if there's a second and third movie, I'll go if there's booze beforehand.

    4. Your review pretty much same consensus as Jezebel & Lainey gossip. I can't believe I wasted my time reading all 3 books thinking this has got to get better! I wasn't into twilight so I don't get that connection either. Who should have played Christian?

    5. I still haven't read a Twilight book or seen a movie.

I was hoping for Matt Bohner for Christian.

    6. OMG - the owner of our company asked me to help him make sense of a movie listing yesterday - he is 74 - and it was for 50 shades! He was confused because there were so many times listed, not understanding that meant it was on multiple screens. The whole time I was cringing trying my best not to picture him going to this movie! LOL!

    7. I never read the books, but thought that Charlie H was a much sexier choice for the lead...

    8. I've not read the books but judging on the descriptions I've read I would picture someone more along the lines of Christian Bale (for the Christian character). That's mostly because of his character in American Psycho. Someone who looks great in a suit, but can flip the crazy switch at the drop of a hat. Sort of Bruce Wayne meets American Psycho right? Sounds like they should have thrown more money at Jax!

  6. I only hope it doesn't start with a K.

Jenna Bruce is kind of cool.

  8. I love this picture. He's like that weird neighbor that watches you while you're outside raking the lawn, washing your car or taking out the trash.

  9. By a weird coincidence, i came across an article by some well known snd not so well known transdenders who were sorry they ever transitioned or had the surgery. And they said the same thing; it wasnt what they thought it wld be. It was hard. I think sometimes they build up in their mind how wonderful it wld be, so then real life cant come close. One of the people was Rene Richards. She said she was sorry and wished she had never transitioned. I dont know what to make of that. I guess its like when you finally lose that 70 lbs but then life isnt as great as u thought it wld be.

    1. It could be that they think once they transition they aren't going to run up against as much predjudice. I can guarantee that men have no idea how much shit we women take just because we aren't men. That would definitely be an eye opener for a man transitioning to a woman.

Also if you aren't an attractive woman, you can experience even worse - especially if you used to be a good looking man. I don't think anything could really completely prepare someone for all the things that are going to be different.

That would be a hell of a discovery to have AFTER you had completely transitioned.

    2. Good point. Bruce was a good looking rich white guy with an Olympic gold medal and a Wheaties box. Life is never going to be that easy as an amazon, not great looking woman.

  10. I wonder if Bruce will say what his sexual preference is. He could very well be a "lesbian" and still be into women.

  11. MinPin- yeah, what you said. You totally nailed it as well JenX.

Auntie I also heard the same. I know the medical advice is to live as the other sex for a year before you do anything drastic just to be sure but I'm not convinced that's long or definitive enough. Something about actually transforming your body with surgery I believe makes it feel more done and real so they expect others perception will change and bring acceptance. Sadly that just isn't always the case.

The lot of us birds of a feather here are very open minded and supportive but that isn't the bulk of who transgender encounter sadly. Honestly my friend's issue really has less to do with the obviousness of the previous sex than her going on and on about it that made people so uncomfortable.
