Eminem Grants Dying Wish
17-year-old terminal cancer patient Gage Garmo had one final wish: to meet Eminem. TMZ reports that the rapper heard about the request and obliged, meeting with Garmo at his home on Sunday for about an hour. Garmo's family reported that the visit really lifted Garmo's spirit, continuing to cheer him up even after the rapper left. Sadly, Garmo passed away the next day.
Sad to hear someone so young lost the battle. And it is kinda nice to know that Eminem has a heart underneath all that swagger.
ReplyDeleteGood for E, and sympathy to family.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it's worth adding that Eminem wanted to do this totally under the radar, with no media involved.
ReplyDeleteNew respect for Eminem

DeleteAwww, gotta love him for this.
ReplyDeleteHow kind and giving of Eminem. And so very sad that Garmo died so young. Talk about meeting him just in the nick of time.
ReplyDeleteI read that Eminem tried to keep this quiet. I wonder what other good deeds he does but keeps on the QT so as not to ruin his bad boy rep?
ReplyDeleteor look like a fake celebrity doing it for PR
ReplyDeleteI'm not an Em fan but that was a nice thing to do.
ReplyDeleteCancer, how many times do we have to tell you to go back to hell where you belong?
He seems to me like he does a ton of nice deeds on the dl. It's just the impressions I get. He has a soft spot for kids, for sure.
ReplyDeleteBetween this and Eminem's cameo in The Interview, I can't help but like the guy a little bit...
ReplyDeleteI read that he found out about the kid late in he game too. Apparently he scrambled to fly to see him at the last minute.
