Heard of Game of Thrones during the first season, but never bothered watching. Then I saw a clip from the end of the first season with a naked yet dirty Daenarys rising with her three new baby dragons. Wow! That was a pretty powerful clip, but not quite powerful enough to get me to watch GOT. A few years later, the entire news media SPOILED the Red Wedding, and then my interest picked up. So I got the DVD;s from the library, and did a marathon watch of the first and second season, then watched S3 online, and then season 4 online as well, but at the same time as everybody else. So I guess you could say I was hooked. This show is fucking great. And if you know people who watch it as well, you have SOOO much to talk about i.e. What the hell is going on? LOL Is there a real villain in the series, or is everyone just various shades of grey? Who is truly responsible for Red Wedding, or even Purple Wedding? Who can we as viewers trust? Despite its fantasy genre, it is a very complex show, with characters who are equally complex. And let's not forget DRAGONS! Drakaris (I am not you pet) is still out there.
The first time I ever sat down and watched an episode with my mom (because she always begged me to) was the red wedding. I have never been hooked on a show faster in my entire life.
