“Covid is here to stay, so are we just supposed to keep masking some places FOREVER?”

I mean, if the choice is between that or mass death and disability… yes?
Has humanity really lost all ability to adapt? Because that doesn’t bode well for the climate crisis… 😕
🚨 Health care worker of two decades at major US Hospital told me this memo about KIDS HAVING STROKES just went out to hospital staff and he wants to throw up.

No. This is not normal. He & his colleagues never saw this influx of kids with strokes before Covid ruined the 🌎. pic.twitter.com/GgRZ4WjSz8
All of this “we support your choice to mask” stuff is honestly like some silly little game where everyone in positions of authority is pretending to be some sweet summer child who has never heard of social norms and peer pressure. Except people get sick and die as a result

NE and Midatlantic states are seeing an increase in COVID cases.

14-day change:
NY +45%
MA + 40%
NJ + 32%
RI + 18%
DC + 21%
We should pay some attention to this and be aggressively urging people to get boosted. Instead it’s mostly just crickets.
The irony is @cdcgov makes a recommendation they KNOW will end masking- (the rep quoted in the article says as much) while also admitting it’s too early to do so… 🤦🏽♂️

“But for now, CDC says metrics have not improved enough for hospitals and nursing homes to let up on masking.” https://t.co/GAD6XXN4Ek
These 2 large studies are consistent and concerning.

Reminder: it took ~15 years after the 1918-9 pandemic to pick up the increased risk of Parkinson's disease among survivors.
