I just checked. While the U.S. and South Korea had their first Covid-19 cases and deaths in February, more than 225,000 Americans have died from the virus since then. South Korea, a country of 55 million, has had fewer than 500 deaths. They controlled the virus. The U.S. didn't.

Today, the U.S. set a new record for new cases averaged over a 7-day period: 68,954. The previous high was 66,844, set on July 23. pic.twitter.com/eUcX9SHvN8

"Of the 20 most populous cities in the U.S., San Francisco has the lowest death rate per capita from COVID-19. If the entire country had followed the city’s approach ... there would be 50,000 dead from the pandemic instead of more than 220,000."https://t.co/TdQHjNPESj

It seems that a second COVID outbreak is starting at the White House just a week and a half before Election Day.

The White House isn’t just ignoring the virus in the final week of the campaign - they’re actively spreading it. https://t.co/RAbpF8zKKP

It is beyond reckless that Pence continues to travel and interact with people under these circumstances. Imagine how you’d feel about someone in your circle behaving this way. https://t.co/a6H758w3qW

My dad’s friend passed away from Covid last week. My wife is in an extremely high risk group. We don’t leave the house for fear of the unthinkable happening.

Hey Mark Meadows: fuck you. Please take that the wrong way. https://t.co/rt5neMyDEi
After seeing the right’s response to COVID-19, I finally understand their view on climate change. A concoction of denial, magical thinking and disdain for science is fueling death and economic destruction. The same thing has us careening into an infinitely worse climate disaster.
