Bruce Brown, who made the 1960's surfing documentary The Endless Summer, has passed away at the age of 80 in Santa Barbara, likely of heart failure. Brown continued to surf until he was 71, when he was sidelined by a shoulder injury. Brown is survived by his sons Dana and Wade, daughter Nancie, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
