In a 180 from his previous statement on the matter, Matt Damon now says that he did know about Harvey Weinstein, kind of. He had this to say in a recent interview with ABC News, as reprinted by Variety:
“When people say like, ‘Everybody knew,’ Like, yeah, I knew he was an asshole. He was proud of that. That’s how he carried himself. I knew he was a womanizer. I wouldn’t want to be married to the guy. But this level of criminal sexual predation is not something that I ever thought was going on. Absolutely not.”
George Clooney, also in that ABC News interview, piped up to say, “I didn’t really think that they were going to have affairs with Harvey, quite honestly. And clearly they didn’t. But the idea that this predator, this assaulter, was out there silencing women like that, it’s beyond infuriating.”
The New York Daily News reports that New Orleans chef John Besh has stepped down from his restaurants after it was revealed that Besh and several of his colleagues had been sexually harassing the female restaurant employees.
The New York Times reports that after Bill Orally, excuse me, O'Reilly, had to pay out a $32 million settlement for sexual harassment in January, Fox News signed him to a new four year contract. Megan Kelly had this to say about Fox News:
