You already knew that this TV host was searching for a new cohost. At least, that’s what everyone thought she was doing!
Well, there have been two interesting developments.
The first is that she has decided that she likes being the only star of the show. That’s why this “search” never ends and she never approves a new hire. She likes it so much that she has expressed to network management that her preference is to make this little arrangement permanent. Of course, as the sole host, she would also be entitled to a hefty raise, right?
The second development is that some of the guest cohosts have gotten wind of this and are really angry about it! They thought they were competing for a permanent and lucrative job. Some of them returned again and again and again only because they thought were getting closer to an offer.
One of them, a well-known actor, is especially ticked off.
He wasn’t doing this for fun or because he has nothing better to do. This was supposed to be a trial run. He really wanted the gig. He was OK with going back for repeated auditions because he thought that was what it took to get the job. Now it looks like it was all a scam. He feels used.
As more of these individuals figure out that there is no possibility of a permanent job, it will be interesting to see if they are so eager to be guest cohosts in the future!
