Page Six reports that Michael Douglas recently opened his big mouth about the health of notoriously private Val Kilmer. At a recent Q&A in London for The Ghost in the Darkness, Douglas announced that his former costar has cancer (for context, Michael Douglas battled tongue cancer in 2010):
“Val was a wonderful guy who is dealing with exactly what I had, and things don’t look too good for him. My prayers are with him. That’s why you haven’t heard too much from Val lately.”
When there were rumours swirling about Kilmer having cancer in 2015, he released the following statement: “I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation. I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU. Friends have assisted who know my spiritual convictions and have been most sensitive and kind for the extra effort in making sure there’s minimum gossip and silly talk.”
If Michael Douglas thinks that he's going to get an Edible Arrangements from Val Kilmer for disclosing his diagnosis to the world, he's going to be waiting a long time.
