Jimmy Carter Is Cancer-Free

Former president Jimmy Carter, 91, has announced that he is cancer-free after a recent battle with liver cancer. Carter released the following statement: "My most recent MRI brain scan did not reveal any signs of the original cancer spots nor any new ones. I will continue to receive regular 3-week immunotherapy treatments of pembrolizumab." He also made the following announcement to his church, as reprinted by E! News: "When I went (for an MRI) this week they didn't find any cancer at all. So I have good news. So a lot of people prayed for me, and I appreciate that."
