Deep Thoughts

If money wasn't a factor, what would be your ideal job?

  1. Anything helping people. Social worker, mediator, adoption officer, boss of cute babies, lol, - anything in that genre.

  2. Running a no-kill dog shelter right next to my elephant sanctuary.

    1. @Rose, did you read Jodi Picoult's "Leaving Time"?

    2. @Rose, if money was no object for all of us, I'd work at your elephant sanctuary!

I think it would be great to work at a vineyard in CA or OR. Not a snooty one though, the people would have to be cool.

  7. Three things
    1. Owning a bead store.
    2. No kill cat shelter.
    3. Running shared housing for foster kids that have aged out of the system, but want to go to college.

  10. I used to want to be a photographer - like the National Geographic kind of photographer. Now I would want to raise endangered and rare sheep breeds.

  11. If money was no object, I would live like Lady Brett Ashley in The Sun Also Rises. Traveling around Europe according to the weather, festivals and my own whims. Of course it would be better if it was during the same era as her.

If I couldn't do that, I'd be cool with me & Mr. Min Pin (and furry kids) moving to Hawaii, and opening a bead shop.

    1. A bead shop in HI would be awesome. My husband has spent countless vacation hours sitting on the curb while I browse beads stores. I've never seen one on our trips to HI.

  12. I'd have a kitten circus where they just run around and play on stage. And then I put their food in a line and everyone can watch them eat...and then try to wash themselves and then go to sleep. And people can adopt them for free.

  14. I would probably still work my current job plus my hobby. If the job got to be too much, I would simply be an event planner for the fun of it.

  15. I wanted to be the first female sportwriter allowed in an NHL dressing room- then I realized I wouldn't be able to concentrate ha ha. Well now it's too late. It's been done.

  16. Write and take pictures for rolling stone. Or go around taking pictures of beer lol. I could probably take pictures of babies for the rest of my life and be happy though. Also would love to live on a ranch and be self sufficient, but we are working on that right now so I guess other than the rolling stone thing, I'm living the dream already :)
