Non-Celebrity Real Estate - Haunted Castle Edition
Have you always wanted to own your own castle? Do you like ghosts? Then this is the place for you! An English castle that dates back to the 1300's is on the market for a bargain basement price of $492,000. The castle contains four bedrooms, medieval ruins, and a watchtower. And a ghost! See pictures of the property at Curbed.
I want a castle and a ghost of my own. Oh hell, who am I kidding, I want to just SEE a castle or a ghost.
ReplyDeleteI've had incorporeal beings as housemates before. Never been in a castle. Would love a home with trap doors and books on shelves that open into hidden rooms....
ReplyDeleteI would like to buy the whole package with the town and the ballroom pub.
ReplyDeleteI feel like it's a bait and switch. The inside looks nothing like what I expected lol
ReplyDeleteIt requires the touch of Carlton Gebbia to give it better fitting decor
DeleteThe parking lot makes it feel industrial instead of homelike.
ReplyDeleteThe interior is so disappointing and the driveway looks like the Scranton Paper Company parking lot. I'd still take it, though, and turn that thing into something out of The Tudors (with working loos, of course).
ReplyDeleteFour bedrooms? Kinda small for a castle. Where would all your guests stay? What about the footmen & under butlers & oh, wait, watching too much Downton.
ReplyDeleteInside it looks like shit. You'd have to gut the whole damn thing and start over from scratch to make it look right. What's the point of owning a castle if it looks like THAT inside?
ReplyDeleteGod, its hideous! And worst decorating EVER!! No thank ya!
ReplyDeleteThe interiors of English houses can be so bland.
