Will.i.am Thinks Your Music is So 2000 and Late
Will.i.am was not impressed by this year's American Music Awards, which featured Fergie, among others. He complained that "Nothing was like, 'Oh my!' " according to Page Six. Will.i.am also complained that today's music is so 2003, and that he is not impressed by any current acts.
Ok, i can see that. Music, like everything, is circular. Every now and then something great comes along, like beatles, stones, grunge rock, madonna and rap. Its new, its pretty, its inventive. We are on precipce for next phenom.
ReplyDeleteComing from someone who doesn't have any music out and hasn't been successful as a solo artist = Jealous.
ReplyDeleteHe's huuuuuuge in Europe
DeleteReally? Guessed he missed the mark in North America lol
DeleteYeah, he was a judge on The Voice UK and he's massive on the festival scene in Europe.
DeleteI'm just waiting for Autotune to go away.
ReplyDeleteMe too. If you have to rely on it then you shouldn't be in a recording studio to begin with.
DeleteAudge- word
DeleteI hear ya Will.
ReplyDeleteI can't hate on the guy who got into it with that idiot Perez Hilton and is a huge supporter of the Lego Robotics program. And he's not wrong, so much of the music sounds the same or is trying to push the envelope too obviously.
ReplyDeleteHey Seven. How was your Holiday?
DeleteIJU! It was fun, pretty low-key. I love cooking so it's like a holiday just for me. :b Come across the pond, we'll have wine and song!
DeleteI'm getting my coat! Cheers!!
DeleteI wasn't impressed either.
ReplyDeleteLike he should talk----remember those awful songs he did with Britney a couple of years ago? Wait no one does....The video was full of product placement and the song was bad..
ReplyDeleteHe was hands down the best part of voice uk.Cannot opine on his music credentials
ReplyDeleteWill also gives generously to education and new invention. I like this guy and look forward to the next trend hoping that it eliminates rap. I know some people like it but I find it boring. A melody... Would it kill you?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure he meant to say most of today's music is 1989.
ReplyDeleteNah that was just before grunge took over.
ReplyDeletePoor Will didnt find any new artists to steal music from
ReplyDeleteI like his stuff.
ReplyDeleteAlways good dance music
