  2. My furnace went out on Friday morning, and it has dipped below freezing every night this weekend. I can't wait until Weds. when the new furnace is installed.

Oh, and hi anarchists! So glad to have an alternative to that other eyesore site.

    1. Hey good to see ya over here. I think you live close to me, I'm a bit N in Silver Lake/everett area, but if your freezing I have a spare room! And it has been so damn cold at night I feel bad for you. Let me know if I can help.
For me chiropractor and had to get a new car battery as the freezing temps here killed mine. But I think 10 years from Toyota is a good run for a battery!

  3. I just had corn chowder & a very small salad for lunch, so I'm hungry. The high temperature in these parts is supposed to be 28 degrees Fahrenheit tomorrow, WTF?!

  4. Trying out a recipe for Pasta Fagioli in my brand new big crock pot. I love crock pots, if for no other reason than the increasing smell over time drives my dog ever lovin' insane. Hope it turns out well, getting chilly here.
Hope that furnace is fixed pronto Seachica!

  8. I just are my dinner for breakfast while I watched some trash TV called Hollywood Euros. And it's maddening to see this Albanian chick be such a major ass to everyone. I think she should go back to Albania where she belongs (apparently the women there have to be raging cunts.). Her talent is null. And she looks a little long on the tooth to try to be starting out here. Hopefully she fails, as she deserved, and she can trot back home before she's so old Even her fans there will put her out to pasture.

I'm winding up to work now. But really pusses off I had to see that Betch on TV. My spaghetti with meat sauce was good.

The Santa Ana's are visiting (warm gusty winds that make us have hay fever). I'm sorry to here about some of youn in the cold. But it's probably pretty and kinda fun. I hope. And my dog just sneezed.

  9. Just got back from estimating damage to my car from a hit and run. That's a fun way to start a Monday.

  10. Tons of sympathy to those without heaters right now! I'm sitting here resigning myself to the fact that my feet won't be warm again for another 4 months. *sigh*

    3. Much, much love to you. It will get easier, I'm about month and a half in from a huge loss and I can tell you, myself, and everyone around me involved is already getting stronger. You can do this! It sucks balls and feels hopeless to be able to see the light again, but you will.

    4. Thanks everyone. I'm grateful for all the support.

    5. Snary, it does get better. I lost my dad earlier this year. I am glad he is no longer suffering although I miss him terribly. I have good days and bad days. Luckily, I talk to him through both. That's the thing, they may be gone physically but they are always there spiritually and in our hearts. They will always listen and guide us even if we don't know it. Sometimes random things set me off into tears and that's ok. Random things that I associate with him also make me laugh and celebrate his life. It's all part of healing. I'm sorry about your mom. Eventually, we are all reunited.

    1. TONIc, get yourself to the doctor or ER. I pulled so many chest muscles when I had pneumonia I couldn't even buckle BLJR into his car seat without crying out in pain. My (very handsome) ER doc gave me a morphine shot and called my family to come get me.

He was glorious to look at, kind, gave me scrips to be filled, and even made my follow-up app't with my primary.

Best wishes and best of health to you!

  23. Had to take the VW Passat to the mechanics, because the driver side window fell off the tracks, down in the door and won't roll back up. Perfect weather for driving around with your window down right? The window motor still works so it's ONLY going to be around $350.00. The motor would have been an extra $400.00. Cheers!

    1. Oh, MinPin, I'm there with you. I haven't been able to roll down my driver's side window in over 2 years. I'm certain I'm the laughingstock of the drive-thrus. (Though a couple of dudes have complimented me on my foot-propping-open-door driving technique. )

      ;-D

    2. Well they ordered the replacement parts today and it'll be fixed before the rain hits on Thursday. I had the same thing happen a few decades ago with my VW Dasher (love me some Volkswagons) but that car had windows you hand rolled up and it was way cheaper to fix. Anybody remember windows you had to roll up by hand? I also loved the wing windows in the front on old school cars. Then again I was a smoker. Miss my old '66 Pontiac.

  26. Hey all - Former CDANaholic here. I was over at that place since before the Timmy/Shimmy fiasco. I work in the music Business and have 2 kids to care for so I don't get on the net before late afternoon. It always feels lame to me to comment after the action has all gone down so I usually fall back, but I read everything.

I just wanted to thank Outtie for sure a great place to hang. The old place was beginning to feel like going to work with all the Hate and K-Trolls. This place has all the original energy I fell in love with.

Oh, and I feel like I can say this here as its not as hot as the old spot was yet, I worked with the one we all know is MV on her first 3 records and, as well all know, the one with the big ass is the answer there. I know you all know and I always wanted to say something but NDAs and all...
