@astro@ tiger I am glad I only just got back here because I would've gone on- slave to love my all time fave song/windswept the most sensual I've ever heard(I love his boss'anova influence and I almost named my daughter Avalon!! (Also it was a literary reference...but ferry had a lot to do with it lol)
I just bought the Dave Koz Christmas CD. I haven't unwrapped it yet. I guess I should wait until at least Thanksgiving to start playing my Christmas CDs at the office?
He is divine. I'm so glad so many other readers here enjoy him. First time I saw him I was 14(long time ago, trust), and he never gets any less sexy or relevant(at least yo me). Enjoy the new stuff- it's good.
they always seemed douche-baggy to me. also, they came around at a time where there were so many similar bands, they weren't very exciting or interesting in their own right. Seemed like music you SHOULD like, rather than really liked. I don't know if that made sense.
Saw Roxy Music in late 1972 or 73 on a sunday night at the Whiskey A Go Go in LA. Original band with Eno on synth. They were touring their 1st and 2nd albums. Needless to say loved Roxy and Brian Ferry solo ever since. Not trying to brag, that's just what we did as teenagers living in LA. Saw so many great shows. Cheers, BW
Thanks Bee, I got bunches of rock stories. Just don't want people to think I'm being pretentious or (even worse) boring. I'll interject as seems appropriate. Cheers, BW
