Record Producer Kim Fowley Has Died
Record Producer Kim Fowley has passed away at the age of 75 after a long battle with bladder cancer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The veteran music producer also helped to form and managed the group The Runaways in the 1970's; he was portrayed in the film The Runaways by Michael Shannon. Former Runaways member Cherie Curie reconciled with Fowley in 2008 when she learned of his diagnosis, and last August moved Fowley into her home to care for him.
I love that movie-RIP
ReplyDeleteMe too! How cool that Cherie took care of him
DeleteShe was on an episode of the Kardashians---teaching Rob to make chainsaw art with wood! lol
DeleteI liked the film too; it's underrated.
DeleteAnd it was very sweet of Cherie to care for him, as caring for elderly men with end stage cancer isn't easy.
End of an era. RIP Kim.
ReplyDeleteRIP
ReplyDeleteYet another demonstration of Cheri's awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteI am shocked that Cheri reconciled with him after all he put those girls through. But that just shows she is a better person than I possibly. Not sure what I would do. Maybe he apologized for everything and meant it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty cool thing of Cheri to do.
ReplyDeleteAnother big producer ended up with Jane Fonda. I forget his name...
