Norm Macdonald's House Sitter Dies While Sitting

Us Weekly reports that Michael Huettner, 23, a high school friend of Norm Macdonald's son Dylan, 22, was hired as a house sitter to watch Norm Macdonald's condo and care for the family's cat while Norm and Dylan were on vacation out of the country. Huettner was discovered dead in the Macdonald home of an apparent overdose by his parents; he was surrounded by pills and pill bottles, and the front door of the home was open. The LAPD have handed the case off to the coroner. The Macdonald family are fully cooperating with authorities.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - That Beardy Leak

This TV guy just loves to leak rumors about himself that he thinks will make him look good. For example, he just leaked a rumor to his own network that he is dating a famous model.

Of course the rumor is NOT true.

In fact, the model is actually dating another guy… who was ticked off when the fake rumor came out and demanded an immediate correction!

TV Guy – who is not an actor – is really pushing his luck with his lies. One of these days, he is going to get dragged out of the closet and receive a beat down from someone who doesn’t care about his money, his fame, or his ridiculous bearding schemes!

Don't Hate Halle Berry Because She's Beautiful

Halle Berry is featured in this month's W Magazine. Here's what she had to say:

Why did you go into beauty pageants?
"Actually, my boyfriend at the time wanted a beauty pageant girlfriend. So he entered me and I got this letter in the mail saying, "You are a finalist in the Miss Team Ohio," and I thought "Uh, what is this?" And then he told me, "Oh, by the way, I sent your prom picture in and now you have to go." So I took my prom dress--It was quite taffeta, hoop skirt, off the shoulders, almost like I was getting married--and I went to this contest, thought it was fun, and I ended up winning. And once you start winning these things it's like a snowball. And you have to go to the next one and if you when there you go to the next one, and I kept winning all the way until the Miss USA pageant where I did not win. I was first runner up to Christy Fichtner. And that ended my beauty pageant career."

What was your talent in the beauty pageant?
"I had no talent. We didn't have to have the talent. [In] Miss America you need a talent. Miss USA you're talentless. You just show up. Thank god I didn't have to sing."

When did it get into your head that you wanted to act?
"After that I graduated high school. I'd worked so hard in high school to be Ms. everything: I was head of my class, editor of the newspaper, in the marching band, the mascot. I was so exhausted from high school that I thought I have to leave town and go have a break. So, I moved to Chicago. I knew a woman that owned a modeling agency and I started modeling. While I was there I started studying at Second City and that's when one of my teachers there said, "I think you should be an actor. I think you've got some talent." And I thought "well, I don't really want to be an actor. I want to be a journalist. I'm gonna go to college and I'm gonna be a journalist. I like to write." And he said, "Okay but I think you should be an actor." So, one thing led to another and I took that path. Sometimes I look back and I think how, "How could my life have been different. What if I were that journalist? What if I didn't choose this life? How would it be different?" And I'm not complaining. I love what I've ended up doing. I love what I do. But I do think, I do look back and I think, wonder what if I had done something different."

In the beginning of your career, it always seemed to me that you were intentionally trying to play the not gorgeous person. Was that intentional on your part?
"Yeah. It was intentional to not play the gorgeous girl. I came from the world of beauty pageants and modeling and right away when people heard that I got discounted as an actor. So, I had the job of trying to eliminate that part of my persona, and Spike gave me a chance to do that. And I took on roles early on that really didn't rely on my physical self at all and that was a good way to sort of get some credibility within my industry.

With Monsters Ball, Lee Daniels didn't want to see me read. He was actually disgusted by the thought. He thought there's no way and my argument to him was, just because someone looks a certain way doesn't mean that they are spared adversity. Adversity does not discriminate. I thought, "My looks haven't spared me one hardship or one hurt moment or one painful situation. So please, you know, give me a shot at this." I said, "I often think it's more interesting when you see someone that looks a certain way struggle in ways that you wouldn't think they would be struggling with." He ultimately gave me a chance and that sort of changed the course of my career in so many ways."

The Gossip Life Blind Item - Crimes Against Television

I feel dirty, Gossipers, because I know I'm supposed to hate this A-list writer for his crimes against television and movies, but I just can't. Not anymore.

A friend (a jobbing actress) got in touch with me recently to talk shop and our A-list writer came naturally up (We must have been talking biggest queens in Hollywood) and although I was down on the guy, my friend was not.

"He's the biggest defender of women in this industry," she swears. "Especially older women! He is one of the select few will go to the bat for them every time."

He's earned my begrudging respect. For now. Tell me, Gossipers:

Who is our A-list writer?

PS: You wouldn't know my actress friend, in case you were wondering. Although if the world is fair and talent rewarded, one day you will.

Shailene Woodley Talks Family Drama

Shailene Woodley recently sat down for an interview with Net-a-Porter's The Edit. Here's what she had to say:

On her family life growing up, where her parents, both counselors, would welcome in teenage runaways or fleeing victims of domestic violence:

“I came home to things that weren’t great. My family is super-fucked up in many ways, but they are also my everything. They would do anything for me, and I would do anything for them. That’s a lot more than most people can say about their families. I’m grateful for the shit that happened.”

On Snowden:

“When I found out they were making this movie, I begged my agents to get me a meeting with Oliver [Stone]. I just wasn't on his radar. I don't think he'd seen anything I'd done. I just wanted to sit down with him and say, as a young woman entering adulthood, thank you for making a movie that will change my life, and my peers’ lives. And thank you for doing it so soon. Really, there is no one else who could except Oliver Stone. It’d be easier 10 years from now.”

On the failings of sex ed:
“As a young woman you don’t learn how to pleasure yourself, you don’t learn what an orgasm should be, you don’t learn that you should have feelings of satisfaction. I’ve always had a dream of making a book called There’s No Right Way to Masturbate. If masturbation were taught in school, I wonder how [many] fewer people would get herpes aged 16, or pregnant at 14?”

On photoshop:
“I had crazy, horrific acne when I filmed Divergent. [But] you would never know because they retouch you. Yes, it’s a movie, it’s their product and I am playing a character, but, as a human being, why wouldn’t you just let my zits show?”

On politics:
“I have a hard time having political conversations in Hollywood. Most people there are so privileged, they don’t see the 99% of America, because they don’t have to. It’s hard for people like that to see another perspective.”

Page Six Blind Item - Crawling with Crashers

Insiders at New York Fashion Week told Page Six the scene’s been crawling with crashers.

“There has been a lot of backstage gate-crashing,” stylist June Ambrose told us at Bibhu Mohapatra’s show at the Skylight at Moynihan Station. “People know that the hot tickets are to be ‘seen’ at top shows. There have been a number of reality [TV stars] crashing backstages.”

A source told us that at Vera Wang’s show invited VIPs included Chloë Sevigny, but that Wang’s team is investigating how crashers, who nabbed seats from invited guests, got in.

“Security has been very loose this season,” Ambrose explained. “If you move with the shuffle . . . you can get in.”

I took this yesterday when Leonardo was about 24 hours old. I did the same thing right after Rafael was born. It always makes me a bit nervous to do something like this, but I feel that in the age of such strong body shaming, I want to do all that I can to normalize a real body and promote healthy self esteem. Many of you know that I love to show the process of life's experiences on the body and I am a firm believer in how a good diet and the right balance of exercise make us happy, healthy, and strong. So from here on, I want to dedicate the majority of my #366daysoflivingclearly #hilarialcm daily posts to getting back in shape and I invite you to do it with me ❤️🙏🏼. Common questions last time were: Did I have a c section?: No, I pushed him out Where are all the pads for bleeding?: I took them out briefly to snap this pic as there is a limit to how much you need to see 😂. Where am I?: in the hospital room bathroom #glamour Oh, and no filter. Just brightened it up a bit.

Blind Gossip Exclusive Blind Item - Photo Finish Fight

This musical couple is still pushing their relationship through the publicity machine. However, before you start believing all those reports about how they will be walking down the aisle soon, you should definitely read this!

"They had a fight over the phone. He told her that he was real tired of all this and that he didn’t want to do more photo ops and that he had “real work” to do (his music). She was yelling at him and he was rolling his eyes and shaking his head.

He was mad when he got off the phone and he stomped around for a bit, and then he said he was going to go see [His Ex] and he left.

After he left, the crew was talking about how he’s avoiding [Female Singer] and how he feels like he doesn’t have any room to breathe and that he would be in a better mood once he got back from [His Ex’s] house."

Say what? When he’s not happy with Female Singer, he goes to see His Ex? Even though all the press reports says that he supposedly “loves” Female Singer and supposedly “hates” His Ex and avoids her at all costs?

Yep.

But the story doesn’t end there!

"Somehow [Female Singer] found out that he was with [His Ex]. A couple of days later, [Female Singer] SHOWED UP AT HIS HOUSE, UNANNOUNCED, IN HER TOUR BUS, WITH HER ENTIRE CREW!

He was real mad. He doesn’t like [Female Singer] stalking him, he doesn’t like surprises, and he doesn’t want all these people at his private house.

She said that she didn’t have a choice but to show up unannounced because he was avoiding her. Then she started yelling about how him meeting up with [His Ex], that she knew he was seeing other women too, and that he had to stop before everybody found out, and that he was going to ruin everything.

She wasn’t going to leave until she got some good photos of her at his house, so they went off together to fight some more and take some photos while the rest of us just stood around."

Kate Hudson Talks Feelings

Kate Hudson is on the cover of this month's Marie Claire magazine. Here's what she had to say:

"I love locking myself in rooms and just being quiet. A lot of people have a hard time in that space, because when you're quiet, you feel the uncomfortable things. You have to actually look at things in your life that are functioning or not functioning. And I like that place."

On the end of relationships:
"I think forgiveness is the biggest part of it…I think everybody wants to point fingers. If you are a person who takes responsibility for yourself and your part in it, you have a much better chance of maintaining a nice relationship. It also means that you grow up. A lot of people don't want to grow up because it sucks."

On being a working single mother:
"I don't try to sugarcoat things. I'll say, 'I'm doing the best I can.' I like cooking, I like presenting. I like it to be an experience and [my kids] help me with it, but if they want something after that, I'll be like, 'Look, I'm placing a meal out for you like a king. I can't do everything. I'm going to have to be the OK mom.'"

On her relationships
"The reason I don't talk about anything like that is because I have kids. People ask that question as if, 'Oh yeah, it's really healthy to publicly talk about who I am or am not dating when I've got a tween.' [Ryder] can read, and he can hear. I'm not going to indulge in that kind of thing until there's someone in my life who I am introducing to my kids."

On her interest in wellness:
"It was always part of our life. My mom's [Goldie Hawn] passion is about finding joy. Even in difficult moments, she has this joy of life. And I feel the same way."

On the backlash against actresses being lifestyle entrepreneurs:
"If you don't want to get criticized, do nothing. I would love to be able to pass on to the next generation the need to stop judging everybody so much. You don't have to like it. You don't have to buy it."

Mandy Moore Opens Up About Divorce

Mandy Moore's new TV show This Is Us premieres Tuesday on NBC, so everyone in the free world is interviewing her about her divorce from Ryan Adams. Here's what she had to say to People:

"My story deviated in a different direction than I expected. But ultimately, life is about being happy and fulfilled and sometimes that means making hard choices...There are moments of being curled up in a ball on the floor. It's really hard. But I've moved on and progressed in the stages of grief and being angry and feeling the loss and all that. I do believe things happen for a reason. And I think I had that mantra moving through the trying times."

On her marriage:
"There was a period in my life when it was so beautiful. And I had this really fascinating person [through whom] I got to see a completely different perspective on the world. I wasn't a participant in my own life for awhile. I poured so much of myself into my personal life and when that wasn't as fruitful as I hoped it would be and I extricated myself from that situation, I was able to realize I wasn't honoring myself and my dreams and what I wanted in life."

On whether or not she would go back and change things if she could:
"You couldn’t pay me to go back five or ten years ago. Having gone through trials and tribulations has brought me to this place today. I feel so much lighter. And I'm growing into the best version of myself."

Naya Rivera Talks Lea Michele Feud

Naya Rivera's memoir Sorry Not Sorry was recently released. E! News has an excerpt from the book about Naya's Glee co-star Lea Michele. It is reprinted as follows:

"One of the Glee writers once said that Lea and I were like two sides of the same battery and that about sums us up. We are both strong willed and competitive—not just with each other but with everyone—and that's not a good mixture. As the show progressed, though, that friendship started to break down, especially as Santana moved from a background character to one with bigger plot lines and more screen time. I think Rachel—erm, I mean Lea—didn't like sharing the spotlight.

On top of that, she had a hard time separating work from our outside friendship, whereas it was a lot easier for me. I'm not offended when people offer feedback or criticism, and if things get heated on set, I try to keep perspective. We're all stressed, yes, but we're all working toward the same goal, so laugh it off and keep it movin'. Lea was a lot more sensitive, though, and it seemed like she blamed me for anything and everything that went wrong.

If I'd complained about anyone or anything, she'd assumed I was bitching about her. Soon, she started to ignore me, and eventually it got to the point where she didn't say a word to me for all of Season 6. Lea and I definitely weren't the best of friends, and I doubt we'll ever sit on her couch and eat kale together again, but the rumors of our 'feud' were blown out of proportion."

Last month, Britney Spears was asked in an interview with whom she would like to collaborate. She answered as follows: [Steven Tyler of] Aerosmith seems really good and bright. He’s a genius I think. He’s very rock n’ roll. He sings from his soul. Gwen Stefani, I think she’s great. Justin Timberlake is very good.” E! Absolutely, absolutely. I have a 17 month old so I don't get the headline news. I apologize for not being in the know…I'm accessible, give us a call!"

Lance Bass also weighed in, because why not?
"I would love to see that happen, of course. I think everyone in the world wants to see them together again in any capacity. It's like everyone's childhood dream. I think it would be an incredible collaboration. I would want it to be a dance number, though. I want them to both—kinda like that Michael-Janet [Jackson] type thing, would be incredible."

We asked you if you thought that she would marry the one whose marriage she had most recently broke up.

Well, if you guessed “Yes”, you win! Maneater closed the deal! She even got his ex-wife scrubbed from his Wiki page before announcing the engagement. It’s as if the ex-wife never existed. Ghosting an ex? Now that’s thorough!

Vanity Fair Blind Item - Baby Weight

Laura Wasser, lawyer to Hollywood’s rich and famous, was once asked by a client whether he could add a clause to his pre-nup stipulating that his wife lose her baby weight in a certain period of time if she wanted to receive her annual bonus. (Yes, wife bonuses are a thing.) After practicing law for two decades—during which time she represented Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, multiple Kardashians, top athletes, and countless other high-profile clients—it takes a lot to shock Wasser. But this request did make her flinch.

“I said, ‘Yeah, dude. We can’t put that in,’ ” Wasser said, laughing, on the phone in August. “Because California’s a no-fault state, you cannot base any kind of a pre-nuptial agreement on somebody’s behavior . . . so I didn’t have to really address how offensive it was to add that to a pre-nup. I get wanting to [put clauses] in about adultery or drug relapses. But even if we could, I wouldn’t put that in. That’s gross.”

Adrian Grenier Wants to Save the World

Entourage star Adrian Grenier recently sat down for an interview with New York Magazine. Here's what he had to say:

On plastic straws:
“We consume 500 million straws each day. The equivalent of 127 school buses filled with straws. It’s disgusting. There should be children in those school buses, going to school, to learn, not straws.”

On how he defines himself:
“I’m a guy who cares about people. Acting is my day job, but at night, I get to be a superhero. There are superheroes, people who fly or have all these extraterrestrial powers or supernatural abilities. Everybody can be a superhero every day by doing very simple things. Change the world.”

On his upcoming documentary 52: The Search for the Loneliest Whale:
“It’s fascinating to see this story because of our relationship to whales historically, and what they mean to us symbolically. Whales are the keeper of wisdom.”

On Feminism:
“I would consider myself a feminist. But women don’t need my permission to take what is rightfully theirs after all these years, so I don’t even need to declare my feminism as a righteous thing. I just am, because I recognize that it’s happening, it’s right. And I’m just in awe of it and excited about the prospect. Maybe our saving grace is if we can balance the male energy, which tends to be short-term thinking, overly aggressive, often indelicate, with the feminine energy, which is more careful study and frankly more sophisticated, we might actually be able to build a world that would be in balance.”

On Burning Man:
“It’s a bunch of people who are open, available to connect, and artistic, and are all conspiring to make the most amazing piece of art, which is everybody collaborating. It’s fantastic...It’s like, could you imagine having discovered America? Would you stop talking about that? It’s like, I went to this new land. There’s nothing like it. And that’s the thing. It’s captivating, because it’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. And I’m worldly, I’ve been around the world. And it happens to reflect the value system that I agree with. The reason I responded so much to Burning Man is, that is my ethos, that is my people, that is the way I’ve always lived and wanted to live. And there is a Zeitgeist of humans who think that way. If I didn’t have an umbrella, for example, I would go from umbrella to umbrella with people and get where I needed to go, dry.”

On what he looks for in a woman:
“We’re in the information age. People know more about their world, about the corporations, about what’s possible, about how we can connect with others who share their values and unite against common goals and causes, and those are the people I’m bonding with. Not the ignorant people who only watch reality television.”

On his current relationship status:
“You know, it’s funny. I was listening to this Radiolab episode about K-Pop. In K-Pop, they completely manufacture their pop stars and they make the pop stars sign contracts where they vow not to date because they’re supposed to be the property of the people, they’re supposed to be perpetually single and attainable. So in honor of that episode and the Korean pop stars that I aspire to be, I am perpetually single for the sake of my fans.”

The Gossip Life Blind Item - Predictions and Analysis

Gather round, Gossipers. For I have some inside news for you. Oscar season is a'coming and speculation is rife with predictions and analysis.

I had a conversation with an agent friend over the weekend, a talkative bitch that seeks to remain anonymous. They were attending TIFF for a client (who will also remain nameless) and got chatting Oscars with other talkative bitches at a table at lunch.

"We all agreed the races are still wide open in every category," my friend confides, "but one."

Barring an unlikely surprise, my friend is certain the Best Actress Oscar race will be between two A-list actresses. It'll be very heated and highly competitive, and not just because of the gold on the line! The heat will also be stemming from the real life acrimony between the two actresses, who I've heard from multiple sources "hate each other's guts!"

Tell me below, Gossipers:

Who are the A-list actresses?

Monica Talks Brandy Feud

Singer Monica recently appeared on The Real, where she addressed her alleged years-old feud with singer Brandy. Here's what she had to say, as transcribed by E! News:

"I've always thought that she's one of the most legendary people and has one of the most amazing voices…And I just think that some of it's been blown out of proportion to a degree. But I can't tell my kids to do something that I can't do. So it was just a test for me to always just take the high-road and know that anything that's meant for you in this life is yours and nobody can stop you or stand in the way of it. So I wasn't bothered at all."

On whether or not she would work with Brandy again:

"I would work with her again. It's never been an easy situation, but the reason I would do it is because we are from a special elite group. It was her, Aaliyah and myself. It was a very special time where each of us was individuals. We did our own thing, and we all made our won mark. And the truth and reality of it is, the only Grammy either of us has is together. So yeah I absolutely would."

Brandy's google alert must have gone off to let her know that someone was finally talking about her, so she Instagrammed the following message, and then promptly removed it because she realized that it made her look petty AF:
"#Inspire is the only reason #IAm," and then started hinting at the feud by adding, "Hey Hey Hey, #IKnowTHEREALStoryThatEverybodyDoesntKnow #NewKeyOnKeyNewMeOnMe #MissSubstance #PositivityIsTheOneThingYouShouldNotFake."

Looks like the feud is back on!

Vanity Fair Blind Item - Extramarital Liasons

The fact that California is a no-fault [divorce] state has not prevented other high-profile types from inserting strange, behavioral clauses in their pre-nuptial agreements—regardless of whether they carry weight in a court of law.

Neal Hersh, who has represented Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, and Kim Basinger, has his own tales of bizarre pre-nup demands.

“It was provided [in one case] that one of the parties could have extramarital liaisons and one couldn’t,” Hersh revealed during a separate phone conversation. “That was disgusting. I wouldn’t mind it if it was bilateral. . . . But we did it, and the surprising thing was that the other side signed it.”

Page Six reports that Nick Simmons, the 6'7" son of Kiss frontman Gene Simmons, is starting a band. He is quoted as follows:

“We just picked a name. It’s brand-new. I found a bunch of good guys. You’ll see something soon. It’s eclectic. I wouldn’t say it’s ‘rock.’ I always loved blues, and it has some blues roots. Whatever the hell Beck is, it’s probably like that.”

And of his father:
“He taught me how to talk the confident talk. He’s not always right . . . In fact, he’s overly confident about most things he’s wrong about, but he’s good at appearing very assertive, so he taught me how to do that.”

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Rehab Retreat

A female member of this celebrity family needs to go to rehab!

She has already tried the private counseling thing, but it didn’t help. So now other members of the family are jumping in and offering their opinions on what she should do!

The prevailing opinion is to pretend that she is still living her usual lifestyle. Given that much of her reported activity doesn’t take place in real time, they would simply stockpile photos and social media posts and then allocate the posts over the course of a month to make it look like she never left.

The other option is to acknowledge that she is not around, but to cover for her while she disappears. They could claim some sort of unrelated fake health emergency that requires intensive treatment… say that she is going on some sort of retreat… or even stage some sort of family feud as the reason for her keeping her distance!
