First off, let me start by saying this is not a "publicity stunt" and the Kardashians are "not making this up for attention."
NBC News reports that Kim Kardashian was tied up and held at gunpoint in her room and robbed by two masked men last night in Paris; she is in town for Paris Fashion Week. Her rep stated, "[Kim Kardashian] was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. [She is] badly shaken but physically unharmed." You may wonder how this could happen when Kim has such a large security team? Well, even those dudes get to sleep, and you figure once you're ensconced in your private luxury apartment in your Paris hotel, you're safe until morning. Sadly, she'll never be able to feel that way again.
A source tells NBC news that five men dressed as police officers arrived at the Hotel de Pourtales last night and overcame the night watchman on duty, and took the key to Kim's apartment. Once they gained entry, the masked gunmen tied her up and stashed her in the bathroom. They managed to make off with a $4.5 million ring, and a jewelry box containing an additional $5.6 million of jewelry. There is speculation that this might be an inside job from someone at the hotel, due to the prior knowledge of light security on Sunday nights.
Earlier in the evening, Kanye West was performing a concert in New York when he abruptly left the stage stating that there was a family emergency.
